BRENNAN LOUIE (PHI)
Gold medalist and Champion of the South East Asian (SEA) Games, Coach Brennan has helped establish a new identity for Filipino fencing and continues to train, with US National Coach, Misha Itkin, in his hometown of Los Angeles, California, whilst being instrumental in the development training of his younger brother, Bryce Louie, one of America’s most promising upcoming fencers having won the 2019 Junior Olympics Gold medal in cadet men’s foil.
RICHARD BERNSTEIN (GBR)
Richard is a qualified foil coach, team manager, and SalleRepublic resident coach, who also continues to support multiple fencing clubs in the South West of England as well as the governing body of fencing on the Island of Jersey. Richard received a fencing scholarship at Millfield School. Before continuing his studies at the University of the West of England (UWE), where he became Men’s 1st Team captain and Vice President of the UWE fencing society, he competed for both Jersey senior squad and Great Britain at U17s, including 3 Commonwealth Games, Maccabi GB at 2 European games, and 2 World Games. More recently, Richard led the Jersey delegation at the Junior Commonwealth Games in Newcastle 2018, and in the summer of 2019 was manager, coach, and athlete at the European Maccabi Games, with the GB squad winning 8 medals in the Team and individual fencing events.

It contains important information to help you to check that these activities are suitable for you, considering your fitness and ability level, and that you have access to an appropriate environment to allow you to participate safely. All activities are undertaken at your own risk and consent must be given by your parent/guardian if you are under the age of 18.
We suggest, prior to starting the activities to ensure that you have performed an appropriate warm-up, i.e., suitable activation activities, mobilisation, pulse-raising, movement-based flexibility and movement practice, OR you can participate in the warm-up at the start of the session that’s been designed for minimal space with no equipment required:
· Only undertake activities that are suitable for your level of ability, health and fitness.
· Do not participate in these activities if you have any injuries.
· Ensure that you remember to work within your ability and physical limits, listen to your body – hydration, etc.
· Make sure you have undertaken an appropriate warm-up
· COVID-19 – follow all government advice at the time for the country that you are in.
